Sam Anthamatten

Swiss born and raised, Sam has spent his life on the high peaks of his home town Zermatt. He is a hugely experienced mountain guide and mountaineer, shown by his role as part of the UIAGM – a body of mountain guide associations from over 20 countries across multiple continents. Sam gets a thrill from where others would shy away, he explores high peaks where the terrain is such that only Sam can find a line down. He is a man for all adrenaline-fueled sports, be that biking, climbing, paragliding or powder skiing. Sam is not restricted to conventional ski locations, always off exploring somewhere new, he has travelled all over from Alaska to Japan to Nepal.

If you grew up in the mountains, you don’t have the same mentality as those who grew up in the town…as you grow up in the mountains, your decision making is shaped by the mountains.

The top here is those 4,000m peaks and I just want to ski them.
